Nova Scotians save dog

An amazing story that stretches from Newfoundland to Halifax broke today. Mindy, a puppy from Newfoundland, is safe and sound after a horrifying ordeal. As too often happens, there are pretty gruesome details about animal abuse, but it is also a great story about people coming together to help and heal. If you’d like to read more, go the CBC article here.

Things to know: A yard sale is being held this Saturday to raise cash to help pay for vet bills. All of us know how high these can run (good work costs good money!), so please help out if you can. The yard sale is at Station 59, Bay Road Fire Hall, 4408 St. Margarets Bay Road, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mindy will be in attendance!
